Archos 9 PC Tablet with Windows 7 Operating system

Archos 9 PC Tablet is an interne media tablet. The Archos 9 is a Intel atom device and 8.9 inch touch screen factor and has the coolest and most friendly touch screen version.

Sony Ercisson’s first Android aka Xperia X3 coming in Jan 2010

While SE confirmed the WM 6.5 based Xperia X2 recently putting the Android based Xperia rumors with a ‘?’, latest round of rumors suggest that the X3 would be outed in Jan 2010. This might be around the same time as the X2 hits the shelf’s.

Leaked shots of the X3 suggest that it would be a full touchscreen Android with no physical QWERTY (much like the Nokia X6). We have already seen a couple of leaked shots for the X3 along with rumored specs. With Android becoming a crowded space, Sony Ericsson would certainly like to come out with its own offering asap.

Motorola announces its first Android

Motorola has a custom UI called the MotoBlur running on the Android OS, which sure gives the HTC’s Sense UI a run for its money. T-Mobile would launch the Moto Android in US as Cliq and globally it shall be branded as the ‘Dext’ featuring a 3G, full QWERTY keyboard, 3.1″ touchscreen, 5MP camera, GPS, WiFi and a 3.5mm headphone jack. While Palm has learnt its lesson and integrated a minimum of 8GB internal memory, I wonder what stops Motorola from doing the same. Augmented Reality to take GPS navigation to the next level

arAR (or Augmented Reality) is a technology for the Android platform that is set to revolutionize GPS use with real-time traffic images beamed directly to mobiles of Android users. Augmented Traffic, as the application is called, will use the AR technology to show a list of all available traffic cameras in the direction of travel. The Android user just needs to tap on the desired camera to check the traffic status and live videos at a particular spot. (more…)

While the Motorola Sholes / Shules we saw earlier was looked neat and something that would prompt us to make a shift to Motorola again, here comes Morrison’s specsheet and a Oct 21 release date. Samsung to unveil sub $100 Android phones in 2010

Now thats really cheap! According to NYTimes Samsung plans to launch ‘multiple’ ‘touchscreen’ Android phones costing less than $100 by next year.

While we already see tones of Chinese iPhone clones selling for $50-$75, it will be interesting to see what Samsung has to offer with an Android at that price. All we know is these phones will allow full internet browsing. This announcement comes along with the launch of eco-friendly Samsung Reclaim which is a $50 phone made of ‘corn’. Acer’s Android + Windows powered netbook coming in August?

Though not confirmed by Acer yet, reports suggest that Acer is all set to unveil its first Android based Netbook (which might well be the first Android Notebook to hit the markets) sometime next month. Acer leads the netbook markets and it has its own way to deliver Android to you. The Acer netbook will dual-boot Windows XP and Android – just as announced before. (more…)
