While SE confirmed the WM 6.5 based Xperia X2 recently putting the Android based Xperia rumors with a ‘?’, latest round of rumors suggest that the X3 would be outed in Jan 2010. This might be around the same time as the X2 hits the shelf’s.
Leaked shots of the X3 suggest that it would be a full touchscreen Android with no physical QWERTY (much like the Nokia X6). We have already seen a couple of leaked shots for the X3 along with rumored specs. With Android becoming a crowded space, Sony Ericsson would certainly like to come out with its own offering asap.

According to the latest news on the Web, T-Mobile USA will soon launch two Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot mobile phones, namely the CS8 and the CS5. While the former has been already spotted in FCC’s courtyard about two weeks ago (and is also known as C905a), the latter has just surfaced into the wild, though it seems to be the North American version of the C903 Cyber-shot, which appeared first back in February.
We already reported that there would be a lot of activity in T-Mobile’s lineup during the second half of the year, and it seems that even more is coming to its users, as the Sony Ericsson CS5 is now reported to head towards its network on July 8. In addition, the Sony Ericsson CS8 is expected to be launched on June 24, at least this is what CellPhoneSignal states, though there are no details available on the price tags the devices will come with.
A quick look at the specs list of the handsets shows that the Sony Ericsson CS5 will come with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution TFT display, which also supports 262.144 colors, a 5-megapixel photo snapper, 130MB of internal memory, Memory Stick Micro (M2) slot with support for up to 8GB of additional storage space, Stereo Bluetooth, and GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS/HSPA 1700/2100, UMTS/HSUPA 1700/2100 connectivity, all in a body that measures 97.0 x 49.0 x 16.0 mm and weighs 95.0 gr. The handset is expected to come to the market in Glamour Red, Techno White and Lacquer Black color schemes.
As for the Sony Ericsson CS8, it should come with an 8.1-megapixel photo snapper, quad-band GSM/EDGE and UMTS/ HSDPA (1700/2100) 3G connectivity, Bluetooth Stereo, FM Radio, email and instant messaging capabilities, as well as GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities. The handset follows the Samsung Memoir when it comes to camera capabilities and should cost a little more than the Sony Ericsson CS5 when launched with T-Mobile.
The latest camera phone from SE, the K850i didn’t impress many. And here they have another one now C905, that looks much more promising to us. Believed to be one of the best camera phones around, the C905 has an 8 Mega pixel camera under the hood.
Here is a quick look at the phone specs information:
Phone Design:

The C905 is a slider weighing 136 grams. There are 6 buttons below the display along with a 5 way D Pad. And 2 buttons above the display, which are somewhat hidden and are used for picture slideshow and timeline picture album in normal mode but buttons are named as Game A and Game B (thought we didn’t find games using those as yet) I would love to map them with other application after few days that would let you do almost anything that doesn’t require a keypad.
Sliding the LCD will reveal a standard keypad. The key pad is flat and contrary to other mobile flat keypads, this really does its job well, even the top rowed keys are easy to press for my fingers and also loved even backlit which is separately controlled row by row.The Headset / Data / charging port is on the left side along with the M2 memory socket, where as the right side features zoom/volume control, and album (picture review) or camera mode (still or video). And not to forget the camera click button.
The camera has a protective lens cover (metal slider) similar to what we had in K750i. (It’s different btw, more complicated with at least 2 moving pieces and I doubt it might not be as strong as my previous K750), Majority body is plastic with chrome finish buttons and edges/sides. Initially I was scared that it looks so delicate but yeah found it to be very strong, perhaps weakest part is camera cover.
SE C905 features a 2.4″ 256K-color TFT display with QVGA resolution. The Mineral glass coating ensures scratch resistance. And really works against scratches and what I like the most is ‘no reflection’, even in direct sunlight it looks great. (more…)
