ASUS has unveiled another one of its upcoming e-Book reader namely the ASUS DR-950. Measuring 9mm thick and weighing 370 grams, the DR-950 boasts a 9-inch 1024 x 768 display, an optional 2GB or 4GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a text-to-speech reader, WiFi, HSDPA, WiMax, a USB port for sideloading and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device also supports a wide range of file formats including PDF, TXT, Audible, MP3, ePub, HTML, JPEG, GIF, PNG as well as BMP. Pricing and release date are still unknown at the moment.

Chinese-based company Aigo has recently rolled out their first e-Book reader for the mass market called the EB6301. Measuring 164mm x 127mm x 11mm, the device boasts a 6-inch 600 x 800 E-ink display, a 2GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB), built-in speakers, a USB 2.0 interface and a 1200 mAh Lithium-ion battery. Not to mention, the device also supports a wide range of file formats including TXT, PDF, DOC, HTM, HTML, CHM, JPG, JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, MP3, WMV and WMA. The Aigo EB6301 sells for 2,499 Yuan (about $366).

BenQ comes back to the e-Book market by releasing the nReader K60. Measuring 175mm x 122mm x 11mm and weights at just 220 grams, the gadget has a 6-inch touchscreen e-paper display that uses SiPix Microcup technology to produce a native resolution of 800 x 600 pixels with 167 dots-per-inch and 16 grey scales. The nReader K60 provides a 2GB of storage space, which is enough to hold around 4000 books and a microSD card slot (up to 16GB) for more storage space. Additional features include WiFi, a mini USB port, a USB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device supports a wide range of file formats including ePub, PDF, TXT, HTML, JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, and MP3. No word on pricing so far.

Samsung has recently unveiled the E6 e-Book reader that features a handwriting recognition and a wireless connection such as Wi-Fi, to share and get content. Samsung announced the first partner to provide content for the device will be Google, which has digitized many popular and classic open-domain literary works. The E6 will be released later this year for $399.

Word has it that the MSI and Asus will debuted their dual-screen e-book readers at CES 2010, which will be hosted from January 7-10 in Las Vegas, USA. The MSI dual-screen eReader will be powered by an nVidia Tegra graphics chip.
