Apple didn’t give us a great amount of time with its newly unveiled iPad today, and as you’ve likely seen, we spent the bulk of our allotment touching the unit itself. Lost in the proverbial shuffle were a number of the unit’s launch accessories, including the admittedly intriguing keyboard dock ($69), case ($39), iPad Dock Connector to VGA adapter ($29) and camera connection kit ($29). Each of these doodads seem to look and feel exactly as you’d expect ‘em to, though we’re still baffled by Apple’s decision to make you pay extra for access to the world’s most widely accepted connector. We’re also somewhat appalled (but not surprised) by the $39 price tag purportedly attached to the stripped-down case, and while the $69 MSRP on the keyboard dock is apt to cause some grumbling, at least there are a few iPad-specific keys on there to make it (marginally) worth your while.
Well, it looks like it’s not all just fun and games for Apple’s new iPad — the company has also just announced an edition of its iWork software suite for the device. That, of course, includes versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote that have been “completely reimagined for iPad,” which will be available individually for $9.99 apiece, and are each basically what you’d expect from iPad versions of the desktop applications. It’s iWork you can touch, if you will.
Sega is releasing a new application for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, the Sega Genesis Ultimate Collection, which is basically an emulator for you to play Sega Genesis (Megadrive) games on, and the games will run just like the originals.
Give your iPod Touch or iPhone an extra edge and double it into a stylish, high-quality digital photo frame cum alarm clock. Just fit your handset into this cool device called, Appstand, and get an high-end digital photo frame.
We’ve seen a couple of these telescopes that can be attached to the camera of a cellphone to allow the users to zoom objects from afar. A version that is specially made for the iPhone 3G and 3GS is now available at USBFerver, which allows your iPhone to have up to 8X zooming power. The 8X telescope also comes with a stand which you can clip your iPhone 3G/3GS on and comfortably take pictures and videos from afar. A video attached below showing you how it could probably be used to record what’d be going on at the pool side from your apartment.
